4 types of Fatigue People Don’t Talk About

October 5, 2022

Compassion Fatigue: Coming from absorbing the emotions of others, leading to sensory overload and a loss of tolerance to what you typically would have easily managed previously. This can come from your immediate environment and interactions, or even what you hear on the news.

Future Fatigue: When you spend a disproportionate amount of time working towards a future goal that you neglect your needs in the present- unknowingly sabotaging your mental health!

Helper Fatigue (or caregiver fatigue): Pouring all of your effort and energy into others while leaving none for yourself.

Depression Fatigue: From the battle of fighting off and carrying the heavy load of negative automatic intrusive thoughts that make you feel numbness, hopelessness, worthlessness and shame.
